Everything you need to know about the AGE-R Booster Pro

"Who should not use the AGE-R Booster Pro?"

The AGE-R Booster Pro was designed to be gentle enough for home use. However, as with any beauty tech that uses microcurrent and EMS, it's not suitable for everyone. If any of the following apply to you, you should avoid using the Booster Pro – your safety always comes first.

You should not use the AGE-R Booster Pro if you:

  • You have implanted medical devices such as pacemakers, ECG machines, artificial organs, etc.
  • You are undergoing treatment for acute illnesses such as heart disease, blood disease, epilepsy, tumors, or similar serious conditions.
  • You have recently had surgery or cosmetic procedures, including implants, metal plates, silicone, or other foreign objects in the face.
  • if you suffer from blood clotting disorders, severe acne, active infections, dermatitis, open wounds or skin diseases that can be easily irritated.
  • are pregnant, breastfeeding, have very sensitive or age-related fragile skin, or are a minor.
  • you suffer from impaired liver function or circulatory disorders that could react negatively to this type of stimulation.
  • You are taking steroid-based medications long-term.
  • You suffer from severe sunburn or have extremely sensitive, allergy-prone skin.

If you are unsure, always speak to your doctor or dermatologist first before using the device.

Just a reminder: This device is intended for cosmetic use only. It is not meant to diagnose, treat, or cure any disease – it is designed to support your skincare routine, not replace medical treatment.

"How do I combine the Booster Pro with my skincare routine?"

This question comes up really often – and we totally understand! Here's an example of how you can best incorporate it into your routine:

Example of the order:

  1. Cleanse your face thoroughly.
  2. Air Shot mode (only on dry skin – refines pores).
Apply light products such as hydrating toner or essence.
  3. Use serum or ampoule – here the booster particularly supports better absorption.
  4. Apply a cream or gel if needed.
  5. Then use MC mode (microcurrent) and Derma Shot (EMS). You don't necessarily need to apply any further skincare products unless your skin feels dry.
  6. Always finish with sunscreen in the morning.

If you prefer to keep things simple: A single serum or ampoule is perfectly sufficient. You can then easily go through all the modes.

"What should I do if my skin becomes irritated or sensitive after use?"

Don't panic – this can happen, especially if you're using microcurrent or EMS devices for the first time. If you experience burning, stinging, redness, or an unpleasant tingling sensation after use that goes beyond the normal, mild tingling, proceed as follows:

  • Stop immediately. Your skin is signaling that it needs a break.
  • Use something soothing, for example aloe vera gel or a cica cream – anything that relieves redness and irritation will be helpful now.
  • Give your skin time to regenerate. Allow it a 2-3 day break before trying again – and then start with a lower intensity and shorter application time.

If your skin continues to react sensitively after the break, you should consult a dermatologist before continuing, just to be safe.

"What distinguishes the Booster Pro from the Booster-H?"

The Booster-H was one of our absolute bestsellers for a long time – until the Booster Pro arrived. Perhaps you already own the Booster-H or are currently considering which device is a better fit for you. Here are the key differences:

Stronger effect through better absorption:
The Booster Pro allows for significantly higher skin permeability. Your skin absorbs active ingredients much deeper and more effectively than with Booster H (Booster Pro 785% vs. Booster H 490%). Perfect if you want to get the most out of your serums and creams.

Larger attachment for faster, more consistent results:
The treatment head on the Booster Pro is significantly larger. This allows you to treat larger areas in less time – especially practical for cheeks and forehead. At the same time, the application is more even.

Central LED & vibration for visible glow:
Another difference: The Booster Pro has an LED light directly in the center as well as an advanced vibration function. This promotes blood circulation and ensures a fresh, radiant complexion more quickly and visibly.

"Is it normal for the device to feel warm when in use?"

Yes, that's perfectly normal – especially in Booster or Derma Shot mode. The combination of LED, microcurrent, EMS, and vibration generates heat. This heat is meant to be pleasant, never uncomfortably hot. If the heat feels uncomfortable, reduce the intensity or use a richer moisturizer as a buffer.

"Can I also use Booster Pro with Botox or fillers?"

Yes, but please wait 2-4 weeks after the injection (ask your doctor if you're unsure). After that, you can use the device without any problems. Just be careful not to press on freshly treated areas. Microcurrent and EMS even help to maintain the results longer, as they strengthen your facial muscles.

"Can I also use the Booster Pro on my neck, jaw or décolleté?"

Absolutely! These areas especially benefit from the firming, toning, and moisturizing effects. Use a lower intensity here, move the device slowly and gently, and be sure to avoid the area directly above the windpipe.

"Why does the device switch off when I remove it from my skin?"

This is intentional: The Booster Pro has an integrated sensor that only activates the device when it comes into contact with the skin. This saves energy and ensures that the effect stays where it is needed.

If it shuts down too quickly, check:

  1. whether you are holding it correctly and have enough skin contact.
  2. check if there is too much product on the head, which might be interfering with the contact.
  3. Whether your skin is too dry – a touch of moisture improves conductivity.

"Does the Booster Pro replace treatments like facials, radiofrequency or microneedling?"

No, the Booster Pro does not replace professional treatments by dermatologists or in skin clinics. These clinics use medical devices that are much more effective.

The Booster Pro is ideal for keeping your skin in top condition between treatments. With regular use, it can help prolong the effects of facials, Botox, or fillers by strengthening your skin barrier, toning your facial muscles, and giving you a visibly more radiant complexion.

"What about microneedling – is the Air Shot the same?"

This question actually comes up frequently because the Air Shot is often compared to microneedling. The answer: No, the Air Shot works completely needle-free.

Why the comparison? Both methods improve the skin's permeability to active ingredients. However, the Air Shot does this gently using electrical impulses, entirely without needles.

For you, this means: no redness, no downtime, and no risks like those associated with improper at-home microneedling. Perfect for regular use without side effects.

"Do I have to use the AGE-R app?"

No, the device works perfectly fine without the app. The app simply offers a few additional features:

  1. Document progress with before-and-after photos
  2. Customize LED colors as desired
  3. Customize vibration and volume settings
  4. Use tutorials, reminders, and routines

But it is not necessary.

"Can I use Booster Pro every day?"

Yes, daily use is even recommended if you want long-term results. However, you should use the individual modes differently:

Booster, MC and Derma Shot modes: easily possible daily.
Air Shot mode: only 2-3 times per week, with a few days' break in between.

Always listen to your skin: if it feels tired or sensitive, give it a break.

"Do I absolutely have to use Medicube products?"

No, that's not mandatory. Medicube's skincare products are optimally formulated, but you can just as easily use your own favorite products. The only important thing is that they are gentle, moisturizing, and suitable for your skin type. Serums, ampoules, and light creams work best because they make the device glide more easily.

"My Booster Pro isn't charging – what can I do?"

First, check that you are using the original charging cable from the packaging. Other USB cables may look similar, but they don't always work reliably with the device.

If it still doesn't load:

  1. Check that the cable is securely plugged into the device and the charger.
  2. Try a different adapter or USB port.
  3. Make sure the charging pins are clean and dry.

Important: The device cannot be switched on while charging – this is perfectly normal. If you still experience problems after that, please contact us – we'll be happy to help.

"Is there a guarantee?"

Yes, of course! The AGE-R Booster Pro is covered by a one-year statutory warranty under German law (§§ 434 ff. BGB). This means that if the device develops a defect within this year, you are entitled to a refund or replacement.

If you have any questions about the warranty or your device, you can contact us at any time – we will be happy to help.
